WEIU's Kelly Goodwin Named a Silver Circle Honoree

(Charleston, IL) -- WEIU is proud to share that News Director Kelly Goodwin was a Silver Circle Honoree at the 2025 National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Mid-America Emmys on October 25.
Goodwin came to WEIU as the News Director in 2001 and has mentored aspiring news students since that time. Many of her students have become successful news broadcasters after getting their start with her. Goodwin was previously with WTHI-TV as the morning and midday anchor from 1993-2001.
Silver Circle recognizes television professionals who have served the industry with distinction for 25 years or more. The nominated individual's contributions can be in service to the industry, to NATAS, to the community or to people training for a career in the field and nominees are accepted from performing, creative, technical or administrative roles within the industry or from areas directly related to television such as commercial productions, journalism or education.
