Subject: 2016 W2s Are Available

Don’t wait on the mail.  It’s not too late to sign up to receive your W2 electronically on-line!!  The 2016 W-2 forms are now available on PAWS.  To receive a W-2 electronically, employees must consent to the process.  By doing so, a paper W-2 will not be provided by mail, but will be available for print via PAWS.  Former employees, including retirees, will not be eligible to take advantage of this ability.  A paper W-2 will be mailed to the last known address EIU has on file.  The consent process is a one-time consent and it will not be necessary to re-consent each year.  To consent and access W-2’s on line, please follow the below directions.  (Note:  1095C forms will be provided at a later date.)

• Log-in to PAWS: https://bannerssb.eiu.edu/pls/PROD/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin
• Select the EMPLOYEE tab
• Select TAX FORMS
• Select W-2 WAGE AND TAX STATEMENT
• Select 2016, then click DISPLAY
• A pop-up message will appear indicating you will need to provide CONSENT.  Click OK
• Under MY CHOICE, check the box that indicates you consent to receive your W-2 electronically.  Click SUBMIT
• CAUTION:  The W-2 that will be displayed on screen will not have your social security number.  DO NOT PRINT this screen shot!
• Scroll down the page and click PRINTABLE W-2
• Re-enter your EIU NetID and EIU Net Password
• Print your W-2.  Note: You may wish to change the print size and format (ie, suggest “landscape”)
• You may print as many copies as you would like.  You may also return to the site anytime through April 18^th and review or print your 2016 W-2.  Beginning April 19^th you will only be able to view the W2 screen without your social security number showing.
• By accessing your W-2 on-line, you will not be mailed a paper W-2.

If you do not sign up to receive an electronic W-2, a paper W-2 will be generated and mailed January 27^th.
